Hi, I have exams within 2 weeks. I've did the photoreading course and know the whole process. I know how to photofocus, because I can see the blip page. Though it is blurry. Is that how it should be?

Also, I've attempted to photoread some of my school textbooks, but have not been able to gain anything out of it. I'm not sure whether I'm a steady relaxed state of mind, or whether, I don't know how to activate. I don't have much time left until my exams and I really do believe that Photoreading works after reading about all the success stories, yet I have had no success with photoreading.

My question, is how would I activate a textbook, and when would I know that I have activated the textbook.

Oh.... It is bad to learn PR on textbooks.

I have the same problems so I tell you how I do it:

1)PR the whole book
2)incubate
2)Searching for trigger words 7-12 max
3)Setting up questions based on trigger words
4)Picking 1 question and moving my eyes down the center of the page.(SR and dipping)- MIND MAPPING them
5)Relaxing 1 min
6)SR again - mind mapping
7)Relaxing 1 min
8)Skitter the whole text to add something to my mind map(MIND MAPS ARE IMPORTANT)
9)After 20-30 minutes that is how long it takes me to make a chapter gel i relax for 5 minutes
10)Rapid read for being sure. I am still a newbie so I want to comprehend as much as i can.

Best wishes,

Anthony,

How have you done with books other than textbooks? How many books have you fully activated already? Your first question makes me wonder if you've done the rest of the system because if it worked for you already you'd know blurry is fine.

Learn the system first. It is no time to be experimenting with your textbook when you have exams looming.
