I am not so sure about the influence of heavenly bodies upon success or failure, but I do know a lot about how expectation can affect your experience ... especially when dreams are concerned.
During the time I was reading Stephen LeBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreams, I was very interested in the subject matter, thought about what it would be like while I read, and during the period I read it I had several intense lucid dreams every night.
You can expect to get whatever you really desire and expect to get ... at least this is the case with dreams.
