Hello everybody. I am just a beginner in photoreading. It seems to me that the PR step provides me nothing, which is as though I haven't PR at all.

In the tapes, Paul said that something will happen after practice. Is that true? Moreover, if I master the skil, can I really read as fast as Pete in this demo? (http://www.musicvideo.idv.hk/video_s5VZa4USCTs.html)
At the moment, I can't recall anything after PR, but Pete can even with that speed, and without activation.

Hope someone who is used to the technique can share his/her experience with me. I am just confused.

Pete doesn't "recall" anything after PhotoReading. No one does.

Ask questions and then the answers start coming that's how Pete builds a picture of what the book is about the more questions the more he consciously gets to know about the book. The questions and allowing himself to get it wrong when he answers the questions. He trusts what he gets in his minds eye and from there the conscious comprehension builds.

That's why activation is important and that's why it's important to start with mind probing questions. Most of us don't get to be tested like Pete so we ask our own mind probing questions and build the conscious comprehension the same way. The more you PhotoRead and activate the less time you need to spend activating.

Pete has been PhotoReading since 1986.

Follow and use ALL the steps of the system.

Do you mean subconscious information will come to conscious mind more eaily if I contiune to use the system?

Actually I feel a little bit guilty when I use the system. I am afraid of missing some essential points if i skip an entire paragraph or even a page during superreading and dipping. In Pete case, he seems as though he has read through the whole text and remember the details (in PR tapes, Paul said the purpose is to find out the 4-11% that are meaningful to us, but wt Pete did is clearly more than that).

By the moment, should i just enjoy the system and go easy with myself? Is that normal to feel frustrated at first, while keep on using it, things will happen?

PS. I notice some improvement when i use it today.

Here's my input.

First of all, if you're afraid of missing certain points, you're going to miss it.

Second, when you do the photoreading step, the brain does pick up all the information in the book, hence the mental photograph part. Now when we activate, the other than conscious brain leads our conscious mind to what we want to know. That's why we state our purpose so many times and with the most clarity we can have.

Third, yes, just enjoy the system and Paul has already told you to go easy on yourself on tape 1. It is normal to feel frustrated when you learn ANYTHING that's new, and it's when you break out of that frustration and finally "get it" that you start seeing fantastic results.

And also, I'm pretty sure if you make photoreading like a second nature, the information in your other than conscious will come to your conscious mind more easily.

Just go easy on yourself.

Looks can be deceiving. Like I said he's been doing PhotoReading since 1986 and has learned to trust his mind. So when someone asks him a question he lets the answer come up and that is his first conscious awareness of the answer.

Thanks for your advice, Alex and JackTuff13. By the time, I will just keep on using the system and hopfully i will become a photoreader.

How can you ask questions on a book you know nothing about?

I mean specific questions are hard to ask if you never got into the book.

I also can't recall a single thing and activation by questions does not help either.

The reason why question don't help is because I know nothing about the book, that is why I want to read it to comprehend the content.

So how do you break out of the frustration?

Dont say "Go easy on yourself" because I will throw you with this computer if you say that.

Give me proper advice.

For example, you browse for some trigger words, and then ask yourself: What does they mean? After 1 activation step you will get another questions))

You seem way to stressed about this. Have not you read the countless numbers of posts made on this forum where people have broken out of their frustration and gotten it to work?

Frustration is holding you back. Stop thinking about it not working, and think about how it does work.

You're expecting way too much as a beginner.

And quite frankly, you're acting very rude. You attack AlexK, you demand proper advice, even though "go easy on yourself" is proper, and you expect to know everything right when you begin.

It'll never work for you if you don't change. Become more at peace with yourself. I don't care whether it's through meditating, Qigong, or Tai Chi, it doesn't make a difference.

You need to ease up.

The reason why questions don't help is because you expect to have all the knowledge after photoreading consciously. You don't. Use all the steps of the system as a beginner, then sooner or later activating by questions will become second nature.
And for the last time, that's the purpose of previewing and postviewing. To get trigger words which spark questions that you will be able to go into a book looking for answers to those questions.
