I have just begun to work with SFQG and have had an interesting one sided headache for the past few days. It is almost like an ear or toothache - throbbing quite strongly intermittently, and moves from my right shoulder to about the level of my third eye. At different times, different points along that energy channel are very tender to the touch. I know a blockage is working its way out, I've tried sword fingers, small universe, and all of the active exercises, and it abates briefly. Tylenol or Advil don't help. I feel that part of this entails balancing the left and right sides of the body, but haven't found anything specific in level one coursework that addresses that.
Any suggestions or thoughts? thank you in advance!

As a total newbie to SFQG; someone who hasn't even received his order in the mail yet, may I ask a question?

Are you sure it isn't allergies? It is springtime. I am posting from the East Coast of the USA, and here all the flowers and bushes and shrubs are in bloom and there's pollen everywhere. I teach in a high school, and it seems as if 1/2 the kids and a lot of the adults have runny noses and are sneezing and have headaches and what-not. Have you suffered from allergies in the past? Sometimes people can develop allergies to substances that they didn't have before. I developed an allergy to raw apples and peaches and other fruits of that type. I can eat them cooked, but if I take more than a bite or two of them raw, bad things happen. When I was a kid I could apples by the bushel. Now I can't touch them.

The same thing happened with 'forsythia' bushes. They never used to bother me. Then all of a sudden, whenever they go into bloom (like now), I end up sneezing and develop intermittent headaches.

I know that oftentimes, if I have a headache or a muscle ache my posture will change and that will often cause a little "tweak" in my back and THAT will result in what's called "referred pain" because my spine gets out of alignment.

If what you're experiencing is the result of a blockage working its way out, I'm very interested in hearing what happens. Since I haven't even started SFQG yet, I'm intensely curious as to what to expect.

Hope you're feeling better!

Aloha gracebwithu,

I'd take some ying-yang water, then choose something like Moving of Yin & Yang, Breathing of the U, or work on your self in the mirror with the Level Two healing techniques.

Much Love, Shawn

Thank you MB and Shawn for your input. I've found as the week has gone by the throbbing has almost gone away.
