Yeah, I don't think Jeffrey was directing the quote towards any of the comments or helpful suggestions. I think he was simply stating a spiritual principle from Lao Tzu, which like all good mystical texts say (in so many words), "seek ye first the kingdom within". (NT)
Or as Mencius, one of Confucius' disciples said, "When I see something good in others, I seek to incorporate that into my life. When I see something faulty in others, I seek to correct it in myself"
It was me who felt busted by that quote, not because of Jeffrey, but because I know that I need to learn these things. Writing and sharing helps all of us get more clear. We will get there!

According to the Tao Te Ching quote from Jeffrey's post above, I do not understand.
I agree: I don't!
I like that quote from the Tao Te Ching.
That's why I write these things out. To help myself understand.
I hope it helps others as well.
That's what I was going to say as well. I must admit that I felt somewhat offended when I read that quote from the Tao. I wrote what I wrote not to preach, but to share my own experience on the topic. I was careful to speak in the 1st person singular and not suggest that anyone do what I was doing or take what I wrote as advice.
