It's brilliant on school books and for studying. Just not good for LEARNING the system on School Books and Studying. You have a vested interest. It's best to learn PhotoReading and THEN apply it to textbooks.

Unfortunately people are reluctant to invest 2 weeks to learn with the home study course and then apply it to school work. It winds up taking 2 to 6 months and risking grades before successfully learning PhotoReading. (If they don't give up) Learn the system, experience it working and then use it on school work.
