Howard Berg's Maximum Speed Reading

This a synthesis of my discovery on the self-development field.

It took me a lot of time to discover those diamants tool, but this summary will help you to follow a more straight-line form A to B , i hope.

Other great self-developpement stuffs for your toolbox are:
- if you're a student or a teacher & want to increase your productivity/learning rate with the light, see phosphenism.com.

Please, dont get caught by the others concepts developped by Dr. Lefebure at the end of his life on religion, & others border-lines mystic concepts Take the best & leave the rest

Their ebooks are FREE, just register. I dont know if they are available in English but in french for sure.

- EFT(emotional freedom techniques) see http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=6i33V2EcVlY&feature=user. Very useful if you have depression, phobia, procrastinate...or headache Just try it !

- winwenger.com concepts on creativity, IQ or buy his book "the Einstein Factor" (included a passage on photoreading & a specific application: direct learning)
Try the Genius Code audio courses with Paul Scheel & Winwenger.

-if you want to improve/learn a new language & want to use the "dead time" (waiting, transport in the subway..) with your mp3 player , see audio courses like
*Pimsleur courses
*fsi language courses - they are TOTALY FREE and downloadable from their website http://www.fsi-language-courses.com/
*see the concept of linkword memory (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linkword) & a variant with a memory town map in "O brien how to develop memory" by Dominic O'brien

-memory course . Some references :
*memory optimizer by Learning Strategies or
*www.buildyourmemory.com
*Dominic O'brien book: his techniques are AMAZING. I love the "town memory map"

-Polyphasic Sleep or How to sleep just 3 hours per day. See The journal of STeve Pavlina on that: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/10/polyphasic-sleep/

-NLP. Read & Practice "Unlimited Power" by Anthony Robbins.

It is a pratical book. Some books are just to be read some others are to be chew: readed, applied, re-readed, internalized. He have great exercices to CONTROL YOUR BRAIN.

He says that most people are like a passive river: they are controlled by their brain: if the feel depressed or pisssed of, they cant do anything to KILL those bad thougts.

He give you great tool & very simple , to kill "bad memory experience", phobias & reinforce great memory experiences.

-Think and Grow Rich" by Naopleon Hill.
If you asked me to recommend to you the single best book I have ever read, my answer would be a very definite "Think and Grow Rich".*

To get be caught by the fact that is a old book. This one is so still fresh & amazing. I thought, perhaps like you, that like others books, he will give you boring & evident advices but that's not the case. See the reviews on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Think-Grow-Rich-Napoleon-Hill/dp/0449214923

He is available in ebook for free as it is quiet old (public domain?).

- Now for fun & for your curiosity : how to get drugs with earphones ! I'm not joking see http://www.i-doser.com.

It is based on Binaural beats(see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats)
I taught too, at first that is just a scam for teenager \:D

Some friends of mine used them for "lucid dreaming" and "out of body" experience successfully. Just see their forums for the reviews.

For my part, i use the e-drug "french roast" if i dont want to sleep tonigh because of too much work.Useful for student :D. I have just used it yesterday.

At about 3 am, i was VERY sleepy but i have to bus at 5 am. So i use "French Roast" x 10 & it was like drinking 10 liters of coffees \:D I was very energic. And at night (11 am)back to home, i thought that i will now just catch again the "sleep time" avoided like it is ususally the case for me,but no! I even waked up earlier.

- Tony Buzan ebook (mind map, intelligence) Just read them all.
- Influence & manipulation by Robert Cialdini. Be warned, You will not be the same again after reading this one.

Now, you have enough must-have-to-read an have-to-practice AT LEAST for the next year .

Last add about the MEMORY subject:

In the learning process, in order to optimize the retention rate, you have to review the material according to a SPECIFIC plan, according to scientific studies on this field. (e.g. one week later, one month later, 3 months later)

You have to do it for EACH new learned thing. To do it manually, it is quite difficult.

You can use FLASH CARD.

By the way, it is a great tool for children, to learn with fun.

You cand use them :
-manually OR
-better with a sofwtaware like SuperMemo 2006(not free) or a free one tht i use: Mnemosyne

You cand use those tools to learn:
-lessons for student
-capitals of countries, words in language.

By the way,DOnt be a DUMBASS, by learning EVER word you find on your path.

Use the WORD FREQUENCY :If you learn 1000 words will know about 80% of the words spoken, 1500 words are about 85%, 2000 words, 90%, and 3000 will be over 95% of the words you hear and use. This is the language.

Where you cand find those words ? Google is the best e-friend : search : most used wordyourlanguage_HERE To read more about this
