Tore, Robbin's tape's didn't make me loose old beliefs or even current beliefs. Within the tape set I have there are some exercises for the listener to go through, as well as information that Anthony presents.

While hearing some of the information that was supposed to characterize a certain group of people. I realized that as a child I had all of those beliefs being described. I then examined my beliefs and to see which ones I currently held (not part of the course). I tried to figure out when, how, and why my beliefs had changed. I couldn't pin point any event that may have caused the change. I was probably just a series of events and how I responded to them that caused a change in my beliefs.

I've since have worked at re-establishing a more supportive belief system, and I'm making great strides in the direction I want.

IPM and NLP are the most directed tools I've been using for this, but I feel many of the things I'm doing and experiencing are creating my better reality.

I hope this helps.

You are perfection,

P.S. The audio package was the Unlimited Power. I believe he has two versions of this. I also believe there are two versions of the corresponding book. I suspect that I have the original version. I picked the tapes up at a used book sale, at the church.

OK, now I understand. I also thought you meant that you lost those beliefs when listening to the tapes rather than that when you were listening to the tapes you realized that you lost those beliefs. In NLP that is called a ambiguity.

That most people lose empowering beliefs we had as children is typical considering the educational and socialization process we go through. Some of it is unavoidable but IMO much of it can be avoided.

For anyone interested, the two versions of Unlimited Power are the 6 tape Nightingale-Conant set and the complete book on tape by RRI. The 6 tape set was my first exposure to NLP and IMO much better than the more expensive Personal Power. Likewise, the book Unlimited Power is better than his second book. Both are huge and I've had them sitting around partially read for years until this summer when I reviewed the Photoreading class. I Photoread and activated them both in one day. With NLP books it is best to go through them again after activating and do each exercise to get the full benefit.
