Hi hubert!

I get this question about meditation frequently. Much about it, I suppose is written, spoken and taught, especially over time.

It is first a 'conditioning' which until some achievement there is no real-life 'use' of meditation.

A simple example:

Close your eyes...
Go as a fantasy to a safe place 'for you'. Use good symbols, like gently moving water, green solitary trees, long green grass, bright beautiful flowers, a cobble trail, soft moss as a place of repose... hear some birds singing, the water trickling, get lost to it...

Go there with code:

Rest,
Relax
Reach-out
Let go
Peace
So I AM...

Repeat this trigger as you lose yourself to the sound of birds, gently moving water, the smell of fresh air, and the scent of flowers.

The mantra 'code' must be tied to the visual dream or fantasy in a easy gentle manner.

Sit relaxed for 3-5 minutes, utilize slowed breathing on the way in and out.

This conditioning could be done 100 times in the course of 30 days or three+ times a day for 30 days.

After which you leave it for a week.

Then, next when you want to use it for an activity;

...like take an important exam,
PhotoRead, activate etc.
general study and problem solving

Close you eyes and repeat the code, or mantra above and only briefly smell a flower or reach out and touch the tree or moss. Then go to work.

There is no use of a skill for any purpose until the 'skill' of itself is first and foremost established within as your own fact or experience.

Most sincerely,
