Margi,

Check out the website, http://www.dreamviews.com/dreamrecall.php. This site is geared towards lucid dreaming, which is a state of being aware that you are dreaming while dreaming. The page I linked to is about dream recall.

Here are some of my experiences with dreaming. I hope that you can find some insight in them.

When I was a child I had a recurring nightmare, and I got tired of having this nightmare, so I decided that I didn't want to remember my dreams anymore. Guess what? My mind gave me what I desired. After that I rarely remembered my dreams. Then several years ago, I used the Dream Play paraliminal, and I immediately began remembering my dreams. I even remember a really weird dream in which I actually had a dream within a dream. I remembered in my dream thinking to myself that I was tired, and I went to sleep in my dream...and I remembered that dream...I woke up only to still be in the original dream, so I had to wake up twice to get back to reality. That was pretty crazy.

Getting back on subject here, several factors are at play to dream recall: (1)Intent (2)Emotional barriers and (3)What stage of sleep we were in right before waking up.

Have the intent when you go to sleep to remember your dreams when you wake up. Try to use something pleasant to awake you instead of an annoying alarm clock. It's important to awake in an easy an d relaxed way in which you can sit still and reflect on your dreams.

For me, I had to have the desire to remember my dreams, and tell myself that it was alright to start remembering my dreams again.

Try it out, and let us know how it goes.
