Hi Marianne,
Yes, keep practicing.

SFQ is signal or message healing. This isn't just applicable to level II clearing techniques, where you put in a healing message as you pat in healing energy. You can also apply it to how you think. If I look at your above post, there are several messages that support the blockage/anxiety: " My anxiety", "my struggles" , "struggling to focus"... There is some ownership of a negative condition in those messages, as well as self limitations imposed. I don't mean to pick apart your communication. It is very normal to go from experience to thinking. It is common to 'react' to experience had. It is best, not to react to experience, and it is best not to go from experience, to too much thinking about it. If you aligned more with the signals " no more anxiety", or " I feel fine", " I am okay", "everything is fine", "completely calm, completely relaxed, etc, etc" Thoughts arise from feeling. You are feeling uncomfortable, then thinking... Meet those feelings with assuring messages. Treat yourself well, calm yourself. Change the signals, messages, ,,,stop the thinking that is of no use to you.
It so happens that excessive thinking can harm the stomach/spleen system. Anxiety is also tied to this system. In addition, an ability to integrate , stabilize, feel centered and balanced, are also psychological qualities related to this organ system. This is not my wisdom! I just came across it in a five element chart. It seems useful here.
So, what are you thinking about when you practice, and post practice. Is it positive, supportive, beneficial, to transforming the experience of anxiety? What are those messages/signals?
When you remove the reaction/thinking, you can still have the feeling of something. Let's say you have a cut that bleeding. First, stop the bleeding. Once the bleeding is stopped, there still can be a sensation of pain or discomfort. In this experience, put in the right signals, don't get lost in thought that supports any negative manifestation. Don't react to the feeling. Do your qigong, then stay mindful. If you've done your qigong and stay mindful, frame 'whatever' you feel, as healing. Be 'absolute' with this, and diligent. Healing can have a very strong feeling piece to it. Often , that feeling is reacted to, then the mind starts to question or doubt or tell you nothing is working, or the problem is still there, or back...
Put your spirit in charge, not your mind. Be firm, clear and continually meet what you feel, with positive affirmations and clear supportive signals. Treat yourself well. It is okay to feel something uncomfortable. It is a new experience to have experience, and not think about it or react to it. It can feel awkward and unfamiliar. We have behavior patterns, thinking patterns, that require diligent focus during and post practice sessions.
The more qigong you do, the more you will effect the feeling you have, that perhaps now is framed as still having anxiety. The blockage can be felt more acutely as you work with it. You will be able to relax and focus. If you take out the reactions and thinking, you will make better progress.
You 'can' transform energy. This can take time. You hold the image of where you want to be, and don't let other thinking into that. You are manifesting your health. No doubts, no fear, no anxiety.
Don't shape your practice relative to your blockage. Like, what should I focus on to help my stomach/spleen system.. You are an entity of connected systems. Your stomach/spleen system has relation to your other systems. Just do your practice as complete as you can. It will take care of you, take care of this part of you, help you transform, and you can 'trust' that completely. Qi is intelligent and will do it's thing when you are in a good alignment.
You will get out of your practice, what you put in. The more the better. Work with not reacting to what you experience, and then thinking, doubting, worrying. Again, you may still feel something. Stay diligent at that point. Either go to a focus, or neutralize the tendency to go into thought about it. Framing the feeling as a strong healing sensation is helpful. Meeting the feeling/thoughts with positive signals(strength of spirit behind that). You are not just kidding yourself with that. It is simply how you manifest health. For you, the thinking part is very important.
I would also add, relative to focus, that you could look at your physical alignment as a focus too. Maybe your sense of focus is just what you feel you are supposed to be seeing/focusing on in your mind's eye. Your physical alignment/position, is also a focus, in a way. Just keep standing, breathing, relaxed moving, let go, let go... lengthen the spine, tongue up, etc. All physical alignments, a physical focus. Qi responds to that piece too. You are putting yourself in a transformative alignment. From their, align with spirit, hold intention, watch the thinking and reacting. Be patient with this process over time.
Qigong works beautifully relative to what you are working through.
