Hi to all of you!
I am totally new to this forum & the Learning Strategies, but I have recently spent a small fortune on self hypnosis CD's, how to's, & other improvement media which I was able to find. I am really at a stage where a critical life changing (read: saving!) has got to emerge.
What I want to ask before I spend another fortune with unreliable results is this:
Can a person who either does not dream more than once or twice a year (if that many!) or cannot remember dreams or sense that a dream has occurred....Can that person utilize the GC & other systems offered here?
Seriously, I am not kidding that I have not been able to feel that I have dreamed, & the only things I have, have been glimpses only, and they are extremely rare - once or twice in a year as I said. I dreamed as a child some - mostly of flying or becoming so small I couldn't be found...once I dreamed a beautiful song (so long ago now). The association here is that dreaming is apparently a similar experience to the streaming I have seen here to be so important. Please don't think I am sub-intelligent; I am super stressed out, however.
I am sincerely asking this, more desperate than I feel is polite for me to show.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Sorry this post is so long.

Do you own any Paraliminals? If you do, there is one called Dream Play, which may help. Another Paraliminal called Deep Relaxation could be useful too. Maybe put together a set of four Paraliminals to get a discount, so you can try them out.

To reduce stress, you may consider buying a Q-link (www.qlinkvitality.com and also get to the original Q-link website from there) and wearing it. Once you can start reducing your stress a little bit, you will see that life will start changing.

Good luck!!!

uniquesoul,

Thank you very much for responding to my question. I haven't yet made any purchases of the paraliminals - have sorted through them a few times trying to decide which ones might be the most helpful first - but at the same time with some reservation since I have recently spent so much money on self help downloads, CD's, books, subliminals, & counseling; so I wanted to have a sense that these would be different for me & that a person who has so much trouble relaxing my left brain - that there would be hope that I could overcome this & start being a more effective person. It's not that I don't feel I access my right brain at all since I can draw & design things pretty well, can sing pretty well (but rarely do!), have a good sense of spatial placement of things, direction, etc.; & often have a sense about people that turns out to be true. But I tear apart every hypnosis CD & wish I could reword it, am pretty sleep deprived, and basically living in a crisis at home & at work.
I know that this is more of a response to your response than may have been desired - but I hope that someone or you (anyone!)can continue to hope well for me & point me toward anything that would help. I have purchased Win's book, & the Biology of Belief book online & am anxiously awating their arrival.
I want to buy the Photoreading & Genius Code - but sooooo do not want to find that my brain won't cooperate - hence my question about dreams or even daydreaming - all it seems I ever do is replay difficult conversations or feelings I got at work.
Thank You again for your reply - I will purchase thos paraliminals that you suggested.
By the way, your screen name is very nice.
Thanks again.

You should consider getting the free Holosync demonstration CD from http://www.centerpointe.com and see which effect it has on you.

I found that the Q-link really helped to feel less stressed.

I also went through three cycles of the Ven homeopathic cure, which heals emotional problems. Go to http://www.alfonsven.com. It costs 70 euros per cycle of 28 days. I found it really good and helpful.

Thank you for liking my name.

Margi,

Check out the website, http://www.dreamviews.com/dreamrecall.php. This site is geared towards lucid dreaming, which is a state of being aware that you are dreaming while dreaming. The page I linked to is about dream recall.

Here are some of my experiences with dreaming. I hope that you can find some insight in them.

When I was a child I had a recurring nightmare, and I got tired of having this nightmare, so I decided that I didn't want to remember my dreams anymore. Guess what? My mind gave me what I desired. After that I rarely remembered my dreams. Then several years ago, I used the Dream Play paraliminal, and I immediately began remembering my dreams. I even remember a really weird dream in which I actually had a dream within a dream. I remembered in my dream thinking to myself that I was tired, and I went to sleep in my dream...and I remembered that dream...I woke up only to still be in the original dream, so I had to wake up twice to get back to reality. That was pretty crazy.

Getting back on subject here, several factors are at play to dream recall: (1)Intent (2)Emotional barriers and (3)What stage of sleep we were in right before waking up.

Have the intent when you go to sleep to remember your dreams when you wake up. Try to use something pleasant to awake you instead of an annoying alarm clock. It's important to awake in an easy an d relaxed way in which you can sit still and reflect on your dreams.

For me, I had to have the desire to remember my dreams, and tell myself that it was alright to start remembering my dreams again.

Try it out, and let us know how it goes.

Thank you zrooster & uniquesoul:

Your tips are very promising & thought out. I appreciate the help very much! I just got home from work & will begin to look into these options. I devoured the Biology of Belief book, which I received, by the way. I have entreated my sub-conscious mind to remember my dreams and to help me see answers to some very difficult situations that have come to (I beleive) a critical mass at this point. I was even told to start pursuing some dreamwork by my counselor, & have the desire to do so.
Meanwhile, I'm grateful for the help & that someone is listening.
Hope to have a great report & something to help someone else with when I get a little closer to the answers.
Thanks again!

One of the simple strategies to start remembering your dreams is to tell yourself. I want to remember a dream tonight. When I wake up I will remember a dream. Say that to yourself as you drift off to sleep. Have notepad and pen handy This makes your intention clear.

Then when you wake up don't move and ask yourself what was I just dreaming. Record any bits and pieces. As you start remembering one dream you cam change it to I want to remember my dreams tonight I will remember my dreams tonight. Any time you wake up during the night again be still and ask yourself what was I just dreaming and record them on the notepad.

Genius Code Course

In most adults by the time they reach 40 their ability to visualise and see images in the minds eye has atrophied. This is reversible and Genius Code Course is just the tool to use to exercise that skill again.

Some of my dreams are spoken (for lack of a better way of explaining it) There are no visual images yet there is a lot of information in them that I am aware of. My mind recreates the information in a narrative so instead of seeing visuals I'm aware of other ways of dreaming. If you draw a blank you might need to record narratives in your dream journal.

Playing with the Genius Code Course will help you to experience more visual dreams as well.

Hi. Back to the original post - you dream several times each night. If you didn't, you would be dead. You may only remember them 1 or 2 times a year, but you have them every night.

Can you dream when taking sleeping pills? I have major sleep problems- ie don't sleep more than 2 or 3 hours a nite if I don't take a sleeping pill. Have tried to stop many times, but can not function without sleep. Occasionally I dream anyway - tho I often don't remember my dreams or they seem without much meaning.

You should take L-taurine, an aminoacid, to make you sleep. It also helps the body in other ways. It has no side effects and no addiction.

Alternatively, try tryptophane, another aminoacid.

Both worked for me.

You may also considering dowsing around your bedroom and bed to balance detrimental energies.
