Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer Am i doing it right?

I bought this book during summer and i promised myself to
learn it before school starts. School's almost starting and im still not sure whether im doing it right or not.
i tried to photoread with "The road sense for drivers" but i still
feel kind of lost. Im not sure if im photoreading correctly.
Am i supposed to scan through the page before i flip or do i just flip the page after looking or...staring at it? Im not confident because im just self learning and nobody is there to correct me.
I believe in photoreading but is there something i can do to prove to myself that im doing it correctly? Are there advices that might help me? They dont have the seminar course in Canada and im really frustrated. Please give me a hand, i'll appreciate it.

I know how you feel man. I have good news for you though, if your looking for near perfect recall from PR you need spontaneus activation and you can get it by PR alot of books WITHOUT feeling an anxiety while you read

Well first of all, I don't think it's possible to be doing it wrong. Your eyes are constantly taking in all the information that is given to them and most all of it is perceived at a non conscious level.

With that said, the only way to do it right, is to KNOW you're doing it right.

With your first few books, it won't work as well as you hope. That's a given, and it happens to everyone. Keep photoreading and it will begin working for you after your first few books. Photoread everything you can get your hands on, activate everything you need, but most importantly stay with it.

Go through the photoreading book again and see any points you might have missed before.

Also,
While photoreading, you don't scan the page. You look at the center of the book, and try to imagine an X going through the center and touching all the corners. This is just so that you can see all the four corners and the center of the book, to make sure your mind is absorbing everything on the page.

but the book says i have to focus at a point in front of
the book. How can i do that and look at the center of the book at the same time? If i forget about the focus point and just look at the center, i dont see the third page thats in between the two pages x_x please help

All of these are just strategies to help take in the information at a non conscious level. You may follow just one of them, and you'll do fine.

The third page, or the "blip" page, is not necessary. I don't even try to use it anymore, I just use the imaginary X technique.
