Hi..
I’m still a bit confused about the ABC list and the tecniques, and I’ve made some points below which I would be very happy to get constructive answers to, if possible however..
I feel I have so many questions unanswered and they just keep coming up.
(1):
Say for instance that you want to learn about avionics and your prior knowledge on this subject is close to zero.
My examples on how I think I would have done it:
1. First I would start to make an ABC list on avionics with the help of main points in a book or index/chapter outlines.
2. Then I would go through this list and partially memorize it or as Vera would have said - to construct it properly so I can easily re-construct the list later.
3. Read and study the material and make notes.
4. Use mnemonics on things that are hard and essential to remember using the anchor list.
Question to point 1: Should I rather use an already define list – like an animal list to hook things on or other “animal like list” that I can easily construct using my own memory?
Question to point 2: If I’m supposed to construct an ABC list on the topic I want to learn, should I focus on memorize (not constructing) this list before or after when I’ve studied the material?
Question to point 4: Could I use the ABC list on avionics as a peg list, or should I only or preferably use list that are part of my foundation – like the Anchorelist or other list that I have defined and build them like highways..
Other issues:
(2):
1. Making ABC list like an animal list, car “things, and other list that can easily be constructed from memory by not studying anything at all. Are you supposed to just have fun with these and trig and stimulate you’re memory web, or should you try to remember them all, or just some, or none at all?
2. If you’re supposed to remember them by heart, what would be their main purpose?
a) Creating highways and use them unconsciously while learning without no consciously use when learning new info and the means of creative thinking.
b) Using them consciously as starting point to new information – like hooks. By consciously I mean mentally linking new info to them using mnemonics or other techniques
(3):
Is it helpful for the memory web making list without even considering saving them or remember or viewing them over again? Make and trash so to speak..
Thanks for reading through! As you can see I’m pretty confused and I guess it’s my own fault. If these questions are hard to answer, I would appreciate if someone could write their whole process to learn new information with the techniques offered in Memory optimizer from scratch. An example can often tell you a lot more than the instructions.
All help would be appreciated..
Best regards
Fred
