RE Broken tape

I bought my MO course from a company in teh UK a couple of years ago, but on listening to the course again, I noticed that one of my tapes is completely wiped on one side and had distautions on the other. I guess someone (maybe even me) must have put a magnet near it at some point. Even though I didn't buy it directly from LSC can I still take advantage of the replacement policy?
