I just wanted to share one of my recent discoveries:

The books "I Could Do Anything If Only I Knew What It Was" and "Wishcraft" (and if you feel about 40 years old: "It's Only Too Late If You Don't Start Now").

These books are by Barbara Sher. They are hands on, very down to Earth, funny, useful books on achieving your dream (whatever that may be), and of course: figuring out what you love. Not your everyday "self improvement" books

I have been struggling with this all my life. I have decided to become all of the following: a doctor, a jazz saxophone player, a composer for film, a mime, an actress a circus acrobat, a translator, a nutritionist, English Second Language teacher, Physicist, Engineer, Child Brain Developmentist, professional parent.

All of this in the last fifteen years.

I Could Do Anything and Wishcraft helped me sort a few things out and now I know what I have always wanted (woke up one morning and just knew - it was the most exciting day moment of my life) - it was OBVIOUS once I made the realisation. This after YEARS of agonising, and feeling sorry for myself and being jealous of anyone who has always known what they want to be, whether it be an economist, an aerial acrobat, a chef or a doctor.

Anyway, just wanted to share.

1 of the books you mentioned "I Could Do Anything If Only I Knew What It Was" that is so true especially when it comes to photoreading.. For a long time I was struggling with the photoread process .. I did have a reason for photoreading but it was wayyy to general so I for long time didn't get the benefits of the PR course. It was Until just recently that I realized it's because i never really had a specific purpose for reading the book.. That's why it is important to ask questions and to be as curious as yo u can based on your current skill level.

Anyway Kosmik (I know u must be tired of seeing my name by now) I'm very happy that you found out exactly what you wanted to be.. i can say i know what it's like to not know what i want out of life becuz for a long time i expected my father to just show me the way, which he didn't.

PS. This forum has finally reached the 400 posts mark.. this calls for a celebration!!
