If you have created any ABC lists, or learned the Anchorman list, mentally review the list/s during your "piggy bank" times. I'll go over my lists while I'm running or walking the dog. This mental hygiene not only has anti-aging effects, like doing crossword puzzles, or reading or other brain-stimulating hobbies, but each time you rehearse your lists you improve construction and therefore your ability to remember the information for future reference.
Or, if you are learning a new skill, use virtual reality to mentally rehearse doing that skill.
Or, prepare knowledge video tapes, such as a documentary on a subject you want to know more about. Put the tape in when you plan to watch a TV movie or show. At commercial breaks press PLAY and watch the tape. Do this at all commercial breaks. As Mrs. Birkenbihl says, you will expand your education painlessly during these times, just by doing this for just 20 minutes a day, five days a week.
