Great tips! Another thing about the ABC lists, you CAN associate your ideas, in this case the names of gods with the numbers as well as the letters of the alphabet. That's what I do. It brings about even more ideas for me. For example, to prepare for a sign language interpreting exam, I created an ABC list by connecting a particular sign with the number and letter of the alphabet, until I had done all 26. For example, for "A" I chose the sign for ALWAYS, on "1" because you sign ALWAYS by using your index finger, like the number 1, and move in a circular motion in front of your body. I did this for each sign. Some were more difficult than others to associate the number, but it made me much more creative than just choosing a sign that begins with that English letter. And, these are now 26 vocabulary items that I will not forget. You don't need to start with "A" and go down the list either.
