One thing you might want to try is using the ABC or Achorman's List (your choice) to hook verses on. You could then, say if you wanted to rember Genesis, Make an Achorman's list of 50 to remember the chapters, ETC.
you might also want to try the story chain method, where you make connections by chaining events together into a story.
I've tried it and it works.
