I'm wondering why Vera does not mention anything about the alpha brain wave level.

For example, i did a list on occupations. Since my brother is an artist, i put down artist. Then when i hit the i's, nothing came immediately to mind.

So, i just did the 3-finger & entered the alpha level consciously. Suddenly i was inundated w/: analyst, architect, arbitrator, author, etc. This threw me into confusion. First, i was not expecting so many a---occupations to pop up. I even had more!

My questions are: Is it better to do the abc lists from alpha?

What do i do if all of a sudden so many names pop up? For me, i have noticed that this happens for names i've already done & not the one i'm currently at?

I have around 15 lists so far. Is it ok to leave some blank? How complete do the lists need to be to be effective for stimulating our memory webs?

The anchorman list is excellent. It's the best tool i've experienced so far. I used it again for this weekend w/ Walmart, Drug World, CRI(question for Marc), DF for this post. It's really amazing.

Can you be a little more specific about how you used the list? I know in a previous posting you mentioned using the letters, but it wasn't clear to me if you were using the ABC list or the Analografitti.

I still haven't read the book. I am writing all kinds of abc lists. I xeroxed the page in the manual & i'm using all kinds of different colors.

What do you think about the alpha stuff that's happening to me? I would appreciate your input here.

Ok, for my anchorman list. I have it down. I use arrow for anchorman. One lonely arrow that can hit the heart of a bulls eye 10 miles away!

All i now need to do for any list of things i want to remember or get is to spell it. Like i went to kmart. I used k-m-a-r-t for the things i needed to get. Then i wanted to write on this DF for my question about alpha, so i used DF. Donkey is my 4. My donkey was just trotting along when it suddenly had tons more names as it relaxed w/ legs crossed sitting up against a tree again!

Then when i was only able to find 2 of the things i needed at kmart on Fri., i figured that i'd try walmart & i just transferred those things to walmart. I wanted to go to drug world so i used the word "drug" for that other list.

We can go on forever w/ things to get, remember or whatever. It takes seconds to exaggerate something. I'll quickly recall it on what she calls piggy bank time or down time.

Hope this is clear. I haven't actually read that anal... stuff yet, but one picture is worth 1000 words.

Hope some more people join this df. I'm only on tape 6A. I do have some questions & topics to discuss from the other tapes. Too much going on right now.

And i also had a question for Marc, so i used CRI. C=camping so i saw myself camping inside a tape recorder & the 2 turning rods were my trees. My questions to Marc were: How much does another affirmation tape cost? Do i need any special kind of tape to do the recording on? Everyone says to exaggerate & so i do!

I find that I always get more interesting results when I'm in alpha (although I'm still working on a sure-fire method for getting there). It's interesting that there appears to be a lag between what you're working on and what you're getting. Do you think it's just processing time or do you think you have a gremlin?

So, you take the letters for Kmart, and picture the things you want combined with (kilo, military, arrow, RV, tennis)? What if you have more than 5 things to buy? I apologize, I may be completely missing what you're saying. I really am intrigued with your application.

So far this has not happened. The list may be long but i seem to be going to different places. I had some 7 different items but went to 3 different places.

Since i used it for the questions i needed to ask for LS & CRI, i'm thinking that i can also use it for sudden ideas that spring up. I haven't done it yet, but i can just use the word "i-d-e-a-s" to hang ideas on. Or if i'm thinking of Jungian stuff, i'll just hang them on j-u-n-g. Like that. Work ideas i can hang on w-o-r-k

I also have changed 11 of the anchorman list to words that suit me better.

I use "innings" for i & it's number 9 for nine innings in baseball.

18 is R & i use the word register b/c you have to be 18 to vote in America.

21 us U & i use the word underage b/c anyone under 21 is considered an underage drinker.

I've chosen words that i can easily remember to fit the numbers. Like 23 for W for me is wingspan of the red tail hawks that always fly around here.

Personalizing your anchorman list is a big help for using it & likeing it. I use the word "arrow" for number 1 b/c i enjoyed archery as a kid. One arrow & one bulls eye!

I enjoyed reading your dialog about the anchorman lists and would like to share some experience with the MO course. I received the course about 11 days ago and listened to all tapes in the first four or five days. I have listened a 2nd and 3rd time to some of the tapes and I am amazed at how much I did not pick up with the 1st listening.

I have worked diliently on the anchorman list changing 13 of the items. Some items I have changed to a 2nd or 3rd choice as these newer threads are more deeply imbedded in my web than earlier versions were. I now feel I have "placed the pegs" but I do not know where to begin using this. Please recommend some practical application of the anchorman list.

By the way I am new to using a DF such as this and I am not sure if this posting is appropriate as a reply or should be handled some other way. Please comment on this too.

Welcome. I think your posting is perfectly appropriate. You and Margaret have encouraged me to put some effort into modifying the Anchorman list. I was being lazy because I learned Vera's list quickly but I really like your comment about newer threads being more deeply embedded in your web. I hadn't given it much thought but that is a great reason to keep modifying the list.

I think some of your mods are excellent. Ninth inning makes so much more sense to me than feathers in an Indian's head dress. You've given me ideas for pursuing my own modifications.
