Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Spring Forest Qigong Guan Yin

Hello,

I've been visiting this site for a number of years now, first post. Started SFQ with level 1 back in, I believe, 2000, then level 2 when it was released. Attended level 3 classes last fall, was going to attend level 4 retreat this year, alas, work got in the way. So, I'll probably attend level 3 again, in Nov.
Question: concerning Master Lin- does he consider Guan Yin to be one of his masters, and does he consider himself a Taoist? I believe he mentions Guan Yin in the level 3 manual

Chunyi would recognize Quan Yin as a master that has assisted him over the years in his work and training. Whether or not that is the main master he is working with at this time, I don't know.

You'll find Chunyi talking about asking for and connecting to a single master in later classes.

As for being a Taoist, Buddhist, etc., rather than saying he follows a specific region he would talk about what they all share at their core, how each of their founders were masters of energy/qi.

Thanks for responding. Guan Yin has always been of interest to me (in all of her/his manisfestations within different cultures and religions), especially when Chunyi mentions her several times in the level 3 manual.
BTW, has anyone ever called on Vlad the Impaler as their master?
