Rapid reading is closest to traditional reading it uses all the techniques of reading. Superreading and dipping, skittering, rhythmic perusal even your analytical reading if that's what the section requires.
Superreading is where you run your eye down the middle of the text looking for where to dip. Doesn't work if you don't have a mind probing question that you are working with.
