Whilst photoreading, I am able to achieve divergent vision quite easily and experience the "blip page" effect to varying degrees.

I understand that the goal of photoreading is not to read the text consciously.

But...my question is this: (and I am not thoroughly clear on this point despite having read the photoreading manual) should the text on the page be blurred or in focus? I have experienced moments when the blip page forms and, as I move the book closer, the text comes into focus and a 3D type effect is achieved with the words on the page. At other times, the blip page expands to the width of a normal page (like a trifold) and the text, and even sentences and paragraphs are completely blurred. It's a peculiar effect as it feels like I am far away looking down from above.

Please inform. How should the text appear?

You need not worry about the 'should' part. It all works.

However, to reinforce the habit of not consciously zoning in, turn the book upside down and turn the pages from back to front.

The 3D effect of the text is cool. Blurred is just fine. Just keep the rhythm with page turning and say the chant. Don't get too drawn in about the look of the text. That becomes trying to read in the traditional sense.
