I suspect...
The more comfortable one is with using,
relying without stress, ones own intuition; the less dependent upon manual activation.
However, manual activation with keen and comfortable use of intuition the more potent said manual activation would be.
Conversely;
The
less comfortable one is with using and relying upon ones own intuition
the more dependent one would necessarily be with adroit application of manual activation.
Just some further thoughts upon the matter.
Intuition would even inform one of the 'meaning' of new words for that matter or the importance of looking up said meaning. (I have frequently experienced both of these)
