I have noticed no such thing with the either Personal Genius or the Memory Supercharger tapes. I always have stopped and rewound immediately after (or slightly before) the music stops, however, and maybe what you are referring to occurs past this point. My guess is that it's probably just some analog artifact/interference from either the playing or imperfect initial recording of the tape.
