Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Spring Forest Qigong Improving canine kidney function

I have heard others mention that they've used qigong healing to help their pets, but I couldn't find anything in the forum to answer my specific questions. I have a young dog who has developed kidney problems. I believe small universe might be helpful for her, but have some questions (don't want to hurt the situation by doing something wrong).

1. In animals, is the lower dantien located deep behind the naval as it is in humans?
2. Is it helpful to also give energy directly to the kidney area?
3. What else could I do that might help strengthen her kidney function?

In the latest newsletter, Master Lin talks about black foods (sesame seeds, beans, olives) being good for the kidneys. Does this translate to animals as well?

Regarding the foods, you'll need to check with your vet.

In regards to working on a pet, just follow the healing process steps of Level Two.

Answer to #1: Send energy to his/her lower Dantain - that intention will place it in the right place without having to go looking for a navel, etc.

Answer to #2: Yes. Work with it as described in the Level Two course.

Answer to #3: Look at the 5 energy system chart in Level Two. The colors correspond to Traditional Chinese Medicine's enhancing cycle as well, so strengthening the Breathing System (White/metal element) will help support the Kidney system (blue/water element). So check the organs in the breahting system's organs for blockages and clear them to provide more support to the kidney system.
