I have gone from using the blimp in the middle or that seeming cross-eyed to using the 'x' technique and then to not worrying about using any 'seeing technique' at all.
For I encountered the same problem; it got 'too easy' to see the middle as a third page and I was staying there or going into it without trying...
Success can be wonderful.
However, I plainly believe it does not matter as you see all things you look toward or at and record them all the time. (your whole life) So you can just confidently flip through the pages casually with intent and focus.
Concluding; the key centers upon intent, purpose, and activation for goodly use, not how you look when you flip the pages.
Spending some quality time with the basic idea of how and why we are and do 'record' all that we see, hear, or feel could be very beneficial, building up within this basic conviction.
