I totally agree. We cannot demonstrate much in the personal development industry. I tend to be suspicious about testimonial who clearly provide favourable opinions about a certain product. The sampling of the opinions is biased for marketing purposes.
In my view you need to rely on some opinions from people on a forum where everybody can freely express their views. Then you can try the product and see how far you get. Persistence is the most important quality you need to apply. Almost nothing works like magic with little effort.
