Hi,I'm a Chinese student and sorry for the mistakes in my message.
I have been practicing PR for several monthes, the effect is not so accessible--sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I have read a number of articles about PR,but most of them are helpless.
We Chinese students always have a lot homeworks to do and what to be more important is I do want to know more.I'm keen to learn many things such as magic, break dancing, martial art,piano......especially I want to accept the knowledge in my way. That's why I'm desperate to learn PR and I 'm really in a hurry now!
When I 'm in photoreading, the words are really vague(I can focus very far),
actually nothing can be recognized.Does it work?
If I want to recite something like a article or vocabulary ,what's the purpose and how can I do when I activate?
One more,is there any ways to photoread the message which is not so long?
Another question, how fast it can go?the speed...the quality...

P.S How about The Shichida Method(Photographic memory)?is it possible?did anyone achieve it?

Thank you very much fo your answer!

Hi Criss

For Photoreading to work you have to have purpose.

Photoreading cannot work without purpose.

Not having purpose is the biggest reason i see why people fail to have photoreading work for them. I cannot empahasize enough to you how very important it is that you have purpose.

People fail in activation not getting the results because they have no purpose. When people fail with photoreading it is because they do not know what they want from a book. They have no goal no direction & then it does not work for them.

The good news is when you have a very strong, clear purpose photoreading works great.

I remember years ago Pete Bissionette (President of Learning Strategies Corporation) one the best photoreaders in the world was talking about reasons why photoreading would not work for some people and one of the things he said was people being desperate. Criss do not be desperate it is a distraction & will interfere with you learning photoreading. That is why they talk about the relaxed accelerated state because they know that stress and fear interfere with learning.

Criss i have to go i will give you more information later.

Take care,

While photoreading, criss, the words should NOT be clear. When you cannot figure out which words are which, you are subconsciously processing the information, which is what you want.

Definitely do NOT be desperate. Rather, have a playful, curious attitude, while at the same time, having a strong, determined attitude to get what you want from the books you photoread.

For articles, use the skittering technique, or super read them, then super read/dip them.

For vocabulary, photoread the books, or papers or whatever it is you have, and then go through them consciously. You will find it is much easier to recall the words.

Hi Criss,

Photoreading is not reading. The whole point of photoreading is to expose the information from the book to the other than conscious mind. You do not read when you photoread you expose the book to the other than conscious mind.

Photoreading is not about developing a photographic memory.

When you do your activation that is the time when you consciously get information from the book. As i said earlier purpose is extremely important for photoreading to work. In activation you look for the answers to your mind-probing questions based on what your purpose is. Having a goal having a clear idea of what it is that you want from the book happens during activation not during photoreading. You search for the answers to the questions you wanted answered by superrreading and dipping and skittering.

It has been said many times on the forum do not try to learn photoreading on school textbooks and school materials. Better to learn and master photoreading on self help books books that have nothing to do with school. After you have mastered the techniques on 10 non-school books then you can start using the techniques on school books.

Right now you should just use your regular study techniques the way you normally study. If you know how to do the photoreading step that is fine but i would not spend time learning how to activate right now better to spend your time studying. So if you can photoread fine but just study and read the regular way. It only takes 3 to 5 minutes to photoread a book and by photoreading you will expose the books to the other than conscious mind.

Remember photoreading is not reading you are not supposed to see the words when photoreading the words should be a blur because you sending the information from the book to the other than conscious mind when photoreading not the conscious mind.

Hi!Thank you very much!
Sorry about my late reply(we Chinese students mostly are in boarding school without computers belong to students.)

Actually,I have beening using all of these techniques in my dialy study, though some are not so clear,I photoread all day.

There are two majoy problem.First is breathing technique,I don't feel really comfortable when I breathe. The other one is about superead, mostly my mind take no action. It really makes me disappoint.

And one more, how about the speed when i am reading the part I select.

Anyway,I am quite hopeful.

Breathe however you feel comfortable breathing, as long as it's deep and you feel relaxed.

To super read, if you feel like you're not getting any messages from the subconscious, just go to whatever section of the book you're curious about, and super read/dip by looking for keywords. When you see something that grabs your attention, begin dipping.

Soon you will be able to note subtle clues you're given as to where the information you want is.

I have been your listener for long, and I can tell you that the tape are very valuable.

But one question,I still can't figure out how the "before-during-after"study routine used in activation.

Thank you
