Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer Flipping page problem

I know this may sound a bit stupid but it's causing a lot of trouble in photoreading.
Everytime I photoread a book,somewhere in the middle multiple pages just stick together i.e., as I flip the pages
many times I flip multiple pages in a single flip.
Now if I continue flipping the page I get anxious that the informatiion of that page won't go into the sub-councious mind
and if I wait to get the stuck pages apart I lose the steady rhythm of flipping pages which should not happen.
What do I do ???

I am pretty new to PhotoReading and experienced the same problem. I found that missing pages made me more anxious than reading every page and getting out of the flow. So I told myself, "There's no pressure, this is supposed to be fun". Then I spent a little more time reading, read every page, and maintained the chant. I just spent 2 or 3 chants on the pages that stuck together. Knowing I was getting all of the info in the book made me feel better. It's the difference between spending 4 minutes and 4.5 minutes reading a book.

It happens to me a lot. What I do is I just take a second to separate the pages.

If you don't want to ruin the rhythm (which is easy to get back into), then don't worry about it, just turn the book upside down, and make another photoreading pass through it, from the last page to the first (upside down, that is).

One last thing re: pages sticking together. I think Paul S mentions technique of using thumb or finger to seperate pages at top of right page. I've found that when there isn't any "give" at the top of the right page, it will "give" at the bottom of the right page (using thumb). When you stop getting easy turns by flipping from bottom, quickly switching again to the top has you again getting a good grip. Just go wherever you're getting a good grip.

First if you start lifting the page near the centre of the book and not at the corner they are easier to separate.

The pages will nearly always stick together near the 3rd last chapter. Close the book turn it over and PhotoRead from the back to the front. Yes, the book is upside down.
