Hello; Ankit.
The biggest problem people face with photoreading is activating successfully.
Most of the time it is related to the person not having a purpose.
Or having a unclear or weak purpose.
One of the most important things you can do to establish a strong clear purpose is acknowledge what you are going to do with the information you are seeking.
If you are attempting to learn photoreading so that you can use it to help you out in school i have some suggestions.
First forget about the blip it is not important. What is important is too look at the 4 corners of the book this will change your field of vision and will expose information to the other than conscious mind and when you change your field of vision and use peripheral vision you are photoreading irregardless of whether you see the blip or not you will be getting the benefits of photoreading.
I will say this again it is crucial about what you are going to do with the information from the book to having a real purpose. When you activate that book think, really think what you are going to do with that information from the book.
The other thing i would say is by all means photoread the book.Let us just say you want to use photoreading to help you in school. Just spend a few minutes and photoread the book it only takes from 5 to 7 minutes depending on the book. What happens when you photoread the book you get the book operating on both the conscious and unconscious level which helps learning the book easier because you have the book operating on 2 levels.
Study the book your regular way don't worry about activating correctly. You could do skittering which is much more conducive to learning academic type of books. So you could photoread the book do skittering and do regular reading along with a mindmap. The key thing here is layers numerous passes over a period of time. You do a 20 minute pass skittering here you go away and take a 5 minute break. you come back do another 20 minute pass skittering you write down your answers to the questions you wanted the book to answer and you go take another 5 minute break.
And you can regular read.
You will find after you have done numerous passes over the book you will get faster and faster at finding what you need from the book. Think of it this way. A field with tall grass that no one ever walked on is difficult to get through at first but after numerous walks over the same grass it gets easier and easier with each new pass.
