Hello friends.
I've been learning to photoread for quite a time now.
Initially I didn't do well.
But as suggested, I've been patient with myself. (a little too patient I think ). I'm giving myself enough time, playing with the system, relaxing and doing it again and again.
But the trouble is that it's not happening.
I'm in a state of confusion and can't really sort out what is the thing that i miss out everytime.
I perform every step,Go easy on myself.
YET I'M NOT GETTING THAT INTUITIVE DRAW OR THE FEELING OF THE WORD OR PAGE THAT WOULD ANSWER MY QUESTION.
This is the problem I face everytime I activate.
The other are the non-regular problems.
Sometimes I struggle to maintain the blip, other times I struggle to maintain relaxed alertness . Same is the case with mintaining
accelarative learning state. Also, sometimes I struggle to think what is my purpose though it may seem silly.
I know that since it's not happening, there must be something I need to change, though I can't see it at the moment.
Please help me.

I made a mistake and posted something I shouldn't have done.
Alek knows about it.
I apologize for that and promise to not to do any similar things in the future.

Hello; Ankit.

The biggest problem people face with photoreading is activating successfully.

Most of the time it is related to the person not having a purpose.

Or having a unclear or weak purpose.

One of the most important things you can do to establish a strong clear purpose is acknowledge what you are going to do with the information you are seeking.

If you are attempting to learn photoreading so that you can use it to help you out in school i have some suggestions.

First forget about the blip it is not important. What is important is too look at the 4 corners of the book this will change your field of vision and will expose information to the other than conscious mind and when you change your field of vision and use peripheral vision you are photoreading irregardless of whether you see the blip or not you will be getting the benefits of photoreading.

I will say this again it is crucial about what you are going to do with the information from the book to having a real purpose. When you activate that book think, really think what you are going to do with that information from the book.

The other thing i would say is by all means photoread the book.Let us just say you want to use photoreading to help you in school. Just spend a few minutes and photoread the book it only takes from 5 to 7 minutes depending on the book. What happens when you photoread the book you get the book operating on both the conscious and unconscious level which helps learning the book easier because you have the book operating on 2 levels.

Study the book your regular way don't worry about activating correctly. You could do skittering which is much more conducive to learning academic type of books. So you could photoread the book do skittering and do regular reading along with a mindmap. The key thing here is layers numerous passes over a period of time. You do a 20 minute pass skittering here you go away and take a 5 minute break. you come back do another 20 minute pass skittering you write down your answers to the questions you wanted the book to answer and you go take another 5 minute break.
And you can regular read.

You will find after you have done numerous passes over the book you will get faster and faster at finding what you need from the book. Think of it this way. A field with tall grass that no one ever walked on is difficult to get through at first but after numerous walks over the same grass it gets easier and easier with each new pass.

Excellent explanation.
Thanx.
That purpose stuff really had me confused but now it's evident how to go about it.
Any further suggestions from anyone is welcome.

What would you do with soo much confidence in information that you cannot forget?

Hey, your remark just triggered a query.
Maybe it sounds silly.
But I don't really understand what photoreading does.
Paul in his excellent book mentions that with PR we are able to
download information directly to the inner mind.
Does that mean that once it's there it'll stay there for quite some time.Meaning I don't even have to make an effort to memorize the information I've photoread.
Please kindly answer to this seemingly silly but confusing question.

You can get the information to the other than conscious mind via photoreading but the whole point of activation is to get the information to the conscious mind.

Yeah.
I know that.
What I really meant to ask was that does the information I photoread stay in my inner mind for a long time.
Do I need to only photoread first and then focus on activating to get it into my conciousness or do I also have to memorize a bit or all of information sometimes or everytime.
Please help.

PhotoReading puts the information into the long-term memory. However, like remembering what you had for breakfast, on January 18, 2007. It winds are deep in your long-term memory. Unless you make effort to call it up the first time, using activation techniques it can remain inaccessible in the long-term memory. It's a case of use it or lose it.

Activation creates and strengthens the neural networks, that make the memory access of all.
