It's my understanding that each of the seven steps follow a straight line up from the bottom of the torso to the top of the head. If this is the case...and this my question... Where are we to focus on the shoulder level... What I tend to do is focus on the spot between the collar bones right below the Adam's apple... If i were to focus on my actual shoulders I'd no longer be moving the energy up the straight line. Can someone please show me where I am suppose to focus on the shoulder level?

I think it is more just "pumping" the energy from the toes to whatever level and back down again to the and through the toes.

So, for example, on the third step, in round one, you imagine the energy coming up from the toes through the feet, legs, torso, chest, up to shoulders, and then back down again. I think of it, kind of like the body is a big body-shaped-bottle, and the energy is coming up, clearing channels as it goes and back down again, also clearing channels as you pump the energy through.

I have never done it as a straight line, so I may be only dong "good" and maybe a straight line is better. I don't know.

I thought the idea was to clear ALL the channels from the feet, up to each level and back down, with ALL points in between.

Straight line sounds more like Small Universe or something.

Aloha newtothis,

Shakurav's metaphor should help you with that. Look at it as bringing the energy up from the toes, through the entire body to that each level. Don't think so much about "points" or areas, rather up to that "level." That way when you are moving up to, lets say, the shoulders, the arms, shoulders, C7, all get energized and flushed out. Same with the nose - the base of the head, a place where the channels narrow, get's cleared as well.

You are doing well.

Much Love,

Shawn

:)Hi Shawn
I enjoyed reading the answers of Shakudev and yourself about the energy flushing out and energising all the areas of the body. However I have a question. When the energy goes back down to the feet, do you visualise smoke or "negative energy" leaving the body through that area or does the energy just dissolve the blocks as it goes ?

I think you do what feels best and what works best for you. I think in the original teaching it mentioned pushing it down through the toes and out. The idea again is to pump energy up and down clearing channels. The most important thing is to get it moving through like through a pipe.

The details are not as important as your confidence level, focus, consistency and of course, love, kindness and forgiveness with compassion!

Do what works best for you. The most difficult thing about SFQ for many of us, is that we are so used to things that work being very precise, specific and methodological.

This is much more about synchronizing your mind, body, breathing and vibrations in your body with a specific intention.

Which one will work best? Well, I believe that Master Lin would say something similar here: which will work best for you?

Within the parameters of what you already know experiment. Play with it (that alone... the idea of being more playful with it, can often clear a lot of blockages and be very effective).

For example, you outlined two pretty specific methods. Try them both for a set amount of time, say 30 days. Or at least a week or two. Take note of which one makes you feel like you have cleared blockages in your energy channels.

The "tao" of Kali is different than the "tao" of Steve or Master Lin. The Tao that is the Tao of All, cannot be named or pinned down. Each individual, though, can find their own "tao" within the greater Tao.

So, basically, just go for the message "whatever I am doing right now in 7 Steps, I am clearing channels all the way up and down my body from the top of my head to the tips of my toes" or something along that line. It will work a lot better than trying to get the "right" visualization from anyone else.

And who knows, you may even come up with something even better... or BEST! ;\)

Steve
