Whenever I try to turn the pages of my chemistry text book rapidly they stick together and I end up skipping a lot. Is there an easy way to prevent this?

Hello Kewoune

I am very new to Photo Reading so others may have different ideas but I will try to give you a few points. During my career I have worked in the "office supplies" industry as a technician. Amongst other duties, one of my jobs was to repair photocopiers. During this process I often encountered issues of miss-feeding which was often the result of the copier trying to "pick-up" two sheets at once. The solution was to teach the client how to "fan" the paper and essentially place "air" in between each sheet. Believe it or not this did resolve the majority of feed issues. There were also other factors to consider (like how the paper was "cut" and so on) but for this explanation let's just stick to the fanning.

I suggest that before you begin to PhotoRead ANY book you go through a book preparation process. This should include fanning the pages, removing "dog ears" and creases and also if needed pressing the spine to ensure a smooth "flip". The last thing any PhotoReader wants is distractions caused by a poorly prepared book. Distractions may cause a loss of flow and result in a poor PhotoRead.

These are simply my observations and as mentioned I am VERY new to this entire process. Other more experienced PhotoReaders may offer a better solution.
