Hi Everyone. I am new here. I haven't received my disc yet. I am waiting for delivery. I though I would get started by seeing what others are saying. Some one mentioned a place for beginners. Could you tell me how to find that place?

Trusting is a matter of letting go of past hurts. When we meet people, we just operate on automatic and put screens up for defence so we will not get hurt again. This is natural, so it is hard to overcome. Maybe as meditation and other personal development practices will help us to become more intuitive, we can start screening off people who may abuse our trust.

I can understand what you mean about trust, frenchclaire. I know I would manifest a lot more had I resolved more of my trust issues but it is an ongoing process. It is only since I have allowed myself to trust the universe even just a little more that I am noticing shift after shift. I still have a ways to go but I look upon all of it with a spirit of experimentation and just enjoy the ride. If something doesn't work out the way I hoped I look for the lesson in it and getting the lesson makes me stronger and wiser the next time. Happy trusting!!!

Best wishes and update us on how things are going.

Dear French Claire, I just started Effortless Success, and move slowly it seems because I don't do it every day, which I think I should be doing for more power to my dreams, eh? I am a Canadian, who lived in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, for many years and am now living in South Jordan, Utah, near some of the grandkids. I am a citizen of Canada, a citizen of the United States, and also a citizen of the United Kingdom, through descent from my father who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and therefore can live and work in the 22 countries of the European Union. Wow. Maybe I should use my British Passport to visit France as my brother Gary and his wife Helen did several years ago? They lived in the south of France for a year and enjoyed that time there along with their 5 children. One of their girls is currently playing volleyball professionally in France. Blessings, Doc Meek

Hey there Doc Meek,
I think this part of France is a seriously cool place to live! We came over last Easter, put our kids (15 and 16) into the local lycee (high school) for a taster-week and they loved it - despite not speaking ANY French! So within weeks our dream home and life in Ireland were a thing of the past. We are infinitely more happy here. It is 20 C in the garden, the place is ablaze with the blossom of wild cherry trees, I have woodpeckers (with a scarlet head and underbelly) plus goldfinches eating at my birdfeeders. I found work within a week. My husband is a stone-carver and we settled 35 minutes from the only place in France that trains stone-carvers. What's not to like? The great food, strong culture and warm people are an added bonus.

Glad to hear you have ES. Not many people on this site appear to have it. I think it is a masterpiece. It is a blue-print for effortless success.

Take care now,
French Claire

Bonjour, French Claire,
Depuis longtemps que je ne parle pas le francais - but it is a beautiful language. May I wish you the best in learning to master it. D'ou etes vous? Et pourquoi estes vous en cette temps en la France?
I would be very interested in having a fellow-traveler with whom to share Effortless Success thoughts and accountabilities. It is hard (and time consuming) to do, even with my very best friend, when I have to explain each concept and exercise I am doing first.
I have been working considerably slower than you have, however. As a coach who encourages people to use 'baby steps' in order to avoid the discouragement, frustration, and overwhelm that comes with trying to do too much too quickly, I have been working on practicing what I preach.
BTW, American English (New York) is my first language. (I'm just showing off that I can do some French!) Actually, over the years I have learned to deal with various languages and idioms. It is amazing the insights you can gain as you learn how the same concept is seen and described by different cultural as well as individual perspectives.
Do keep in touch.

Bon soir Margaret Ida,
Lets see.... I consider myself a genuine European. Born in Ireland, but lived in Italy (Milan, Rome and Sardinia) for 7 years, quindi parlo italiano, then off to Germany for 8 years, where I became a translator/interpreter, and then back to Ireland for 17 years, with my German husband, so our 2 kids could grow up in a paradise. We moved to France in late summer 2008, and have really fallen on our feet. All four of us love it, the people, the language, the culture, the great weather, the scenery....

I would love an accountability partner to accompany me through ES (you???). I am almost through the second course, but have stopped to really delve into Sedona (to release all the emotions that lower my feeling scale - see my stuff on Re Losing Negativity thread) - and have now detoured back to course one again. So I am attempting to savour it - no hurry at all - and I have just put together a 6 step daily discipline programme.

I have to say that I think ES has provided me with amazing benefits. I felt happy before but the greatest win has been how much pure joy I am experiencing. I have also got so much clarity on where I want to go.... I love listening to the CDs on my daily walks.... and I am in the process of adapting the meditations, which seem to suit me less as they entail so much relaxation. I am spending 90 mins per day releasing stugg with Sedona (don't feel much when I'm doing it, but immediately notice how my perspective changes in real life).

I know what you mean about explaining to others - very time-consuming. Did that with my husband yesterday. A good learning experience for me - the best way to learn is to teach - but it did take a lot of time.

Want to walk the path with me, mais en anglais?

Hello there French Claire and Margaret Ida (and others?)

I logged in today for the first time. I have had ES for 2 weeks now and i am also loving it! I am close to finish of Course One but will probably review some of that before starting course two.

Amazing French Claire to see in another post yr challenge to Jack Canfield to be yr mentor! I had the same idea but havent contacted him (maybe we are not alone in asking for similar mentoring as he had with W Clement Stone!). Anyway, call me nuts if you like but i have conversations with Jack when i drive in the car, i talk out loud to myself about present and future possibilities when i meet Jack in person, talk to him on the phone! Thought, why not! No one else hears me, no one else knows (well apart from you and others on here!).

About me, i am a no longer active Life Coach, always felt i have at least one book in me to write, have holosync, sedona method and now ES. I am married with one 13yr old angel daughter. I live in South Australia but orginally from Scotland. I would also love to walk the path with you (and Mgt Ida) and i do believe this journey will be a whole lot more satisfying if we can share it with someone(s) who understand what it is! Enough for now but i'd love to hear from you. Pandora

Hello there all the way from South Oz via Scotland,
So there are a few of us doing ES now, which is really super as we all understand exactly what the other is talking about.
I have started into a really busy phase again so will have less time to dedicate to chatting to all you bright and inspirational sparks. Started a huge undertaking yesterday and am too pooped to respond today. I'm just logging in so that I touch base and explain that my upcoming silence is due to workload rather than lack of enthusiasm. I fully share in your joy in ES - I have never done any course which is so uplifting before.
Funny, my key had a wonderful, deep red ruby at the centre of where it would normally fit on a key-ring.
Take care and happy opening of doors with that key of yours,
French Claire
