I am ambitious. Once I have assimilated and fully implemented Effortless Success, and released ALL my ISSUES and NEGATIVITY though Sedona Method, I will need a new road to journey.

I never paid much attention to Paraliminals because I have resistance to plugging other people's stuff into my brain when I am unable to process/edit/evaluate it.

I have a couple of Paraliminals in the ES course and also some Fast Track stuff. I am quite intrigued by it. An shift in perspective, so to speak.

For those of you who regularly 'consume' Paraliminals, what is your experience? Does it work for you? Are you swapping your mental programs for Paul's? Who says what he puts on that Paraliminal is genuinely of quality? What does the research say? I feel Paul is genuine about what he does, yet I feel reticent just to buy a series of CDs and pump them into my head without proper understanding of the content and its effects.

Have you had measurable, long-term results? After how long? Can you be sure it is due to Paraliminals?

I anxiously await your inputs.
Take care and blossom,
French Claire

Why don't you use the Paraliminals you already have and see which effect they have on you? You seem to be rushing too much. Just enjoy your ES and consolidate your gains for now. Only at the end of your ES and Sedona Method you will know what will be good for you next. There are so many different programs you can buy that it is beyond belief. However, it is a function of where you will be at that moment.

Simple answer for your question:

All you have to do is listen to the paraliminals consciously, with your eyes open. Listen to what's being said for one ear, then the other. I always like to know what's being "suggested" to me, too, so on some of these, I've done just that. Since I was happy with what I heard, I haven't done that any longer, but you hear bits and pieces of what's being said for both ears in any event--so far, it's always been "good stuff."

As for whether or not one can be sure if the results are from the paras or something else, who knows? I suppose the good results I had could have come from the Easter Bunny, but if so, he only showed up after I used the paras. ;\)

I've tried a few of Paraliminals in the past. They work, but you have take the action to reinforce the affirmations in it. Otherwise, it's just listening to something, and not doing anything about it.

Instead of asking, "Does it work?" Well, ask yourself, "What can I do to make it work?" or you can even use Afformation (look up Noah St. John) "Why does it work?"

Regarding " I have resistance to plugging other people's stuff into my brain" -- you do that everyday. People's conversation, information from what you read, media, and so on, are all people's stuff coming into your brain as well. However, it's up to you to react to it in a certain way. The more conscious you are, the more choices you'll have.

I don't think you are taking on Paul's patterns here. The Paraliminals and especially the extra material you get with courses like 'Ideal Mindset' and presumably 'Paraliminal Accelerator' shows that Paul goes to great lengths to make sure you have a definite goal to aim for. You need to have a reason for listening. What do you want?

As for their effectiveness, I can honestly say that I think the Paraliminals are the most effective hypnosis type of product Ihave ever come across. The changes seem to happen a lot faster than with conventional hypnosis or suggestion. For example, I have a wine habit. I bought 'Break The Habit' expressly to deal with it, and I have had it for a few days. I listened to side A earlier today and will listen to side B later. I used it yesterday too, and you know what?I have no urge to drink at all, None. I will need to keep on using it to create a positive pattern, but by now, on a holiday (as it is for me) I'd be well into my first bottle by now.

I am also using 'Perfect Health' and the Sonic Access Health thingy, as my current goals are all health-related, and I haven't overeaten either. So, for me they are effective, yes.

Before 'Break The Habit' arrived, I used the New Behaviour Generator to see what it would do to the habit, and one listening at a very light trance level, and it interrupted it considerably.

I would recommend them to anyone. But with one caveat: if you are expecting them not to work, and want to prove yourself right, you will.

I also feel that the newer Paraliminals sound a lot better than the revamped ones. The music is better and I don't feel that the holosync on those ones, makes it worthwhile to buy the whole set again. It is a big investment after all.

I wonder why they haven't yet made a Paraliminal to accompany Sedona yet. Alex, maybe you should suggest it to Paul, if you can tear him away from his Visualiminals. \:D Oh yes, and you can put my affiliate cheque in the post for plugging these for you whenever - no rush.

Hey, Gordie? Where's that...? No, I've had my mileage out of that one I guess.

Thank you so much, each of you, for your considered, open and considerate replies.

My pre-conceptions to Paraliminals are gone. You blew them all away. Thanks.

I think Paraliminals may well be my next step. I hadn't realised that I could set my own goal (as I've never heard one). This sounds ideal.

I find I can't really relate to the meditations in ES because too much is prescribed. I don't want to be led around a body-relax routine as I usually listen to the meditation post-Holosync so I am already VERY relaxed. This bla-bla just interupts the flow. Neither do I want to spend 10 minutes swirling white light around my body. At this point I am ready to START.

I would like to find a fast-starting routine that allows me to set my goal and be guided along so my mind stays focused.

How do I know which Paraliminals are new ones?
Thanks a whole bunch. I really appreciate your honest views.

By the way, I still want to read some research into whether and why Paraliminals work. How effective are they?

We are all highly sensitised to the gigantic marketing machine all these personal development wizards have co-created. One advertises and personally endorses the other. Not too sure of the ethics of that....

I can't help thinking that if even a smidgeon of what they claim is true, then they would invest some of their millions in hiring expert researchers to pinpoint what works, and refine, refine, refine.

Bill Harris claims Holosync can reduce/alleviate depression. If this really is so, why on earth doesn't he get concrete evidence for this? For genuine sufferers of depression, Holosync would be a miracle. Just plug in earphones, relax and let your depression vanish.

If I were Paul Scheele, I would find a band of alcoholics, give them a Break the Habit Paraliminal and do long-term research on them. Does it work? For whom? When? How? Why?

I am a trained researcher and I would love to see these guys putting their product on the line and seriously promoting humanity. Either it works, or it does partially. If it doesn't take it off the market. If it works partially, work on perfecting it, or telling us its limitations and how to work it best. The world would be a better place!

End of rant!

Lot's of evidence in the personal development field is based upon testimonials. In my view they are biased since they represent the opinions of satisfied customers only, not all customers. This is a field of humanities... not science!!!!

If you are also a researcher, then you know how expensive it is to run a study like what you propose. I'm pretty sure LSC would have to raise the prices for their products a LOT if they had to pay for these studies.

Best way to approach this, in my opinion, is to try one. If you get the results you wanted, it works for you. If it doesn't, go try someone else's product.

That's exactly what I did. And for me, it worked. Like the saying goes, someone else's mileage may vary. I have nearly all the paraliminals now, except for the ones I know I'd never need or use (like the smoking one).

The Ultimate You library is relatively cheap, so you get the lot, even if you do need some Paraliminals, but your friends or family might.
