If you are also a researcher, then you know how expensive it is to run a study like what you propose. I'm pretty sure LSC would have to raise the prices for their products a LOT if they had to pay for these studies.
Best way to approach this, in my opinion, is to try one. If you get the results you wanted, it works for you. If it doesn't, go try someone else's product.
That's exactly what I did. And for me, it worked. Like the saying goes, someone else's mileage may vary. I have nearly all the paraliminals now, except for the ones I know I'd never need or use (like the smoking one).
