I do not know much about NLP, or PhotoReading. However, I know that things that works take time to master, and people are slow when they start applying their skill. For instance, my children learned Chinese, Ancient Greek, Latin and French, besides English. The process slowed them down. It took them longer to learn how to read and write, but when the started reading and writing, they could do it in five important languages, and read from Plato and Cicero to Confuncius and Jacques Monod. For most of middle school, they lagged behind their classmates. Then thei Latin, French and Greek started bringing benefits. Now, they are always in the Honor Roll, and their SAT scores are well above the other students in their school.
If you learn Brazilian Jiujitsu or Muai Thai, this will slow your fighting skills for about five years. Any brawnier street fighter will defeat you. However, if you persevere, you will become pratically invincible.
