I think you are touching on several points.

You indicate that listening to the Paraliminals puts you asleep all the time. In my case this is a function of when I listen to them. If I do it at night before falling asleep, then I fall asleep listening to them. To overcome this problem, I like to suggest the following:

1) Listen to the Paraliminals either in the Lotus position like traditional meditators do, or sitting on chair with your back straight.
2) Choose a time of the day when you are fully alert and not tired from other activities.
3) While you listen to them concentrate on what Paul and other experts say while breathing deeply and slowly.

Personally I have tried the sleep tracks of different Paraliminals played on the iPod in repeat mode. I have done the same with the Floating track of Holosync. I have concluded that this mode of replaying is not suited to me at all. I believe that during the night, when one brains naturally create specific brainwaves suited for sleeping (alpha, theta and delta), I do not think it is appropriate that I interfere with brain entrainment causing more brainwaves. So I still like to listening to a Paraliminal or another type of track while falling asleep, but I know it will end within 30 minutes or so.

My explanation of your deep relaxation is that you listen to them while deeply exhausted. You are also using Paraliminals that assist in relaxing. For example it is not recommended you use the 10-Minutes Supercharger or the Get Around to It before a good night of sleep since they are designed to make you spring into action.

In the evening before bed while fully alert I listen to alpha (Quietitude) and theta (Oasis) brain entrainment tracks. They do make me a bit sleepy, but I listen to them while doing other things so I do not fall asleep.

Although I cannot claim that I am a diligent user of the Paraliminals, I have found benefits in using them. I have 34 of them plus all those coming with other programs of LSC I own (like the language courses, PR, ES, Resiliency, etc).
