There is an existing vent, but the fan in the vent is connected to the light switch; i.e., I have to leave the light on to keep the fan running which wastes electricity. The smell would not be an issue if the bathroom weren't constantly closed and trapping the humidity in there, though I suppose the plate of salt would help absorb the humidity. I've been leaving the doors open for a little while after the showers, and that seems to be okay, but I still want to keep the door closed as much as possible per Marie's suggestion in the program. Leaving the door open and hanging fabric would be tough, as it is a sliding door to the bathrooms. I'm thinking of possibly getting a small dehumidifier, hopefully that might do the trick - I'll keep you guys informed, but in the meantime, if you have any other suggestions please let me know!! Thanks again!
