Hi there all you PL experts,
I can stay awake through an hour of Holosync, but all I need is a couple of minutes of PL and I am either in a trance or asleep - don't know which. However I have listened to all five PLs in my possession and I cannot tell you what they are about. I do remember listening to Fresh Start (with Bill Harris) and finding a phrase or two uplifting.

So, does it matter if I doze off?

Second, I would really like to try playing these for extended times while I sleep (I mean really sleep, as in at night time). How do I do this? What are your experiences of sleeping with PLs. Does this work?

Finally, some of you have found PLs effective/brilliant. I haven't found them anything at all. In fact I still don't know what they are about (content wise, as I've slept). What is the explanation for all this deep relaxation. This is not like me at all.

Thank you all for your experience.
Adieu,
French Claire

I think you are touching on several points.

You indicate that listening to the Paraliminals puts you asleep all the time. In my case this is a function of when I listen to them. If I do it at night before falling asleep, then I fall asleep listening to them. To overcome this problem, I like to suggest the following:

1) Listen to the Paraliminals either in the Lotus position like traditional meditators do, or sitting on chair with your back straight.
2) Choose a time of the day when you are fully alert and not tired from other activities.
3) While you listen to them concentrate on what Paul and other experts say while breathing deeply and slowly.

Personally I have tried the sleep tracks of different Paraliminals played on the iPod in repeat mode. I have done the same with the Floating track of Holosync. I have concluded that this mode of replaying is not suited to me at all. I believe that during the night, when one brains naturally create specific brainwaves suited for sleeping (alpha, theta and delta), I do not think it is appropriate that I interfere with brain entrainment causing more brainwaves. So I still like to listening to a Paraliminal or another type of track while falling asleep, but I know it will end within 30 minutes or so.

My explanation of your deep relaxation is that you listen to them while deeply exhausted. You are also using Paraliminals that assist in relaxing. For example it is not recommended you use the 10-Minutes Supercharger or the Get Around to It before a good night of sleep since they are designed to make you spring into action.

In the evening before bed while fully alert I listen to alpha (Quietitude) and theta (Oasis) brain entrainment tracks. They do make me a bit sleepy, but I listen to them while doing other things so I do not fall asleep.

Although I cannot claim that I am a diligent user of the Paraliminals, I have found benefits in using them. I have 34 of them plus all those coming with other programs of LSC I own (like the language courses, PR, ES, Resiliency, etc).

Wow, Uniquesoul, you really get me buzzing.
I was most intruigued by your reference to the Resiliency course.... and you have it. This is where we share specific experiences, eh? What did you think of it? Can you recommend it? Not for me to do now, but later as a knowledge package to work through for better understanding. So as to create a positive learning experience and never have the need to repeat all that psycho-terrorism!
Ti abbraccio,

I bought Resiliency as part of the warehouse clearance super-special LSC had in November 2008. I have not used it yet (lazy me.... LOL... another upper limit!). I came across the author through some of the CD's by Bill Harris. I was fascinated by the concept, but never bought books by Al Siebert. Because of the deeply discounted price, I bought the course, which also has a couple of Paraliminal sessions, which do help in the learning process. I believe I am a resilient person by nature as I seem never to give up. However, refining a natural skill is helpful to reach new heights in life.

Bonjour Claire !

When I use Sonic Access during the afternoon, it happens that I sleep.. some seconds or some minutes but I'm feeling very good.

Be blessed

Remember the Paraliminals have two voices talking in each each. This is difficult for the conscious mind to handle so it switches off. It may even feel like you are asleep and yet are not.If you open your eyes at the end of the session when Paul counts you out. Then you weren't really asleep. Just a very deep state where the non-conscious mind was doing the listening.

I have read some of the posts about sleeping while listening to the Paraliminals. So now I have a question, what is the difference between Paraliminal and Subliminal? Is there really any?

Subliminals are meant to be used while sleeping to get to the sub-conscious. Is that not the same purpose as a Paraliminal?

Paraliminals are audible you hear both voices that's why they aren't Sub.

Sleep learning is an option using the sleep learning track. When using them during sleep I recommend go lightly and only use them every other night. More and more research shows that the brain is tying up loose ends and finishing what it dealt with during the day during sleep. Dumping more stuff in during sleep is not always beneficial.

Hi Alex

Some interesting points in your posting. I sometimes listen to the sleeping paraliminal track using my Creative Zen (appropriate!!!) and speakers rather than headphones, and usually I chose something that I think will help with current issues - for example I listened to Talking to Win the night before an interview, and it seemed to help as I felt so much more confident going in (didn't get the job, but I keep trying). How would you know if you were overdoing it and overloading your mind, or using a paraliminal that was not appropriate at that time?

Hello, everyone;

Sometimes I fall asleep when listening to Paraliminals, sometimes no. I believe that it is just as effective either way, since I'm getting the audio stimulation, and heck, my brain is still there, even when I'm asleep!

I've noticed that if I listen to Sales Leap before sleeping, I sleep deeply and thoroughly.

Some of the paraliminals seemed to have a noticable effect for me right away, and others sneak up on me. By sneak up, I mean that I will find myself thinking or saying something un-typical for me, that pleases me!

Claire, maybe your deep relaxation comes from your willingness to fully engage in the paralimnal process.

My best wishes to all.

Warmest wishes,
