Hi! I will be starting the photoreading course in a week, and I have been reading the forums for about 2 weeks now, and despite all the reading I have a couple of Qs before I begin (so I begin with what I feel is all the info I need - which is my top learning mindset)
1) Soft eyes: When I relax my eyes, the words get blurry... is that correct? I tried to make my eyes soft while keeping the center of the page words in focus, but that was very difficult for my eyes
2) Purpose: If I am studying for exams, is "Gaining long term knowledge, therefore aceing my exam" too broad? Should I photoread more than once with different purposes each time?
3) Layers: If I have a technical book (ie pathology) should photoread more than once (maybe whole book, then chapter per chapter), or just photoread 1 chapter at a time, or should I just photoread the whole thing and then activate/go in detail about each chapter later?
I understand I might not understand all the info you may give me on #3, but I will copy it into a word document to keep handy as I progress through the course. I have a couple of weeks only to try this course, so I really want to give it my best!
