We always talk to ourselves and rarely notice it. Usually more than 65% of our self talk is negative. (60,000 thoughts a day) A slight change in that level of self talk often brings it to our attention because something has changed. Having had some real voices talking with you has helped you to permit yourself to notice the interaction you can have with your own voice.
From the sounds of it you've moved the scale for the better and your self talk is becoming more positive perhaps.
In all it's nothing unusual to have self talk. Noticing it probably means you are less reactionary in your actions and more thoughtful in your actions. For example in the past you might have been one to lose your temper quickly (I say "might" and am only giving this as an example), now you could be noticing that that happens less often and that you think before you act, simply because you are able to hear yourself more.
