Not a long post, however a great post!!
My experience is very similar to yours. And from where you say 'I wish I would have known this years ago' and 'I am enthused... I have a list of books as long as your arm...'
I went on to Photoread as well as I counted some 150,000 pages and much of very complicated tech and the like through the next year or so.
No problems.
Now I am super busy doing one thing and then another I have never done before but now 'know it' mostly by Photoreading with only occasionally activating key books I thought were well written and intellectually a pleasure to meditate on.
I generally, go from Photoreading to zeroing on the salient ideas presented and meditating or ruminating on those ideas.
