Hi,
this is my 1st post here.. athough i have been lurking for a couple of weeks.

I have the memory optimiser course and the photoreading course.

and i have been procrastinating on which one to do 1st such that i havent done any!!

which one do i start with 1st.. does it matter?? is it a case of just start one..?

guidance would be helpful here.. or its going to get to christmas.. i'll still have a ton of work to do and my plans of reducing the stress of getting through that work.. wont of been helped by buying thses 2 courses.. none of which i've started.

maybe i need a course on how to beat procratination \:\)

Hi,

Review mentally and emotionally what they will give you often and then hang there until you are motivated to take action.

Kind Regards,

yes..
i have photoread my first book as part of the course.. not really getting into the super reading and dipping.. but skittering looks more promising for me.

i certainly "feel" i know about the material.. but its also pssible that as i did som much reading about this product.. its more of a consequence of that than any succesful activation

reading the 2nd book will be the real litmus test.. as i dont have a large background on that subject

Well i finished the course.

Over all impression.. why didnt i know about this years ago.
I am very familiar with mind maps.. but the whole systems far more efficient than my previous experiance with reading normally and then mindmapping.

so the big.. wait a minute.. there is something here moment

i photoread my first book.. The 15 second Principle by Al Secunda.

Ive never read this book, but given my issues with procrastination.. i wanted to know more abut this and so i felt that i would have a sufficently strong purpose in reading and activating it.

Photo read it and waited a day before activating it.

i activated it in 2 10 minute steps of super reading and dipping ( yes actually i am now more drawn to this than skittering)

after the 1st activation i had some more specific questions.

i wrote my mind map out.. and as a final test it thought i'd write out how i thought the method of the book was to be accomplished.

i then went back to the book and plodded through to each section that told me the method and the reasoning behind it.

i can tell you.. the grin on my face got bigger and bigger as a irealised i had a working knowledge of the system through the photoreading process.. and nothing of any real value came from the old plodding method.

i hadnt missed anything critical.. nothing that someone who read this normally would have said..

"what about x or y.. are you doing this.. if you didnt get that you wont be doing the 15 sec principle properly"

So i am enthused.. i have a list of books as long as your arm that intend to continue to practice my new skills on.

i really want to get into some thick tech books i have.. but i dont want to break this momentum in bedding down the idea that "it does work" by taking on a topic which is beyond my skill set at this moment.

long post.. sorry.. fell free to super read and dip.. or shall i just summarise.."i get it.. it works.. onwards and upwards"

Not a long post, however a great post!!

My experience is very similar to yours. And from where you say 'I wish I would have known this years ago' and 'I am enthused... I have a list of books as long as your arm...'

I went on to Photoread as well as I counted some 150,000 pages and much of very complicated tech and the like through the next year or so.

No problems.

Now I am super busy doing one thing and then another I have never done before but now 'know it' mostly by Photoreading with only occasionally activating key books I thought were well written and intellectually a pleasure to meditate on.

I generally, go from Photoreading to zeroing on the salient ideas presented and meditating or ruminating on those ideas.

got to say that i am very excited by this.

my skill is very fragile at the moment.. as in i keep on having to refer back to the book to make sure i'm getting my purpose right and the rest of it

but i can see that as it becomes more familiar ( practice makes perfect) that i will be more intuitive.

just a matter of convincing my concious mind that it is working during this early part of my development.

i know it works.. but the old internal monologue is going "is all smoke and mirrors"... and why wouldnt it.. i'm putting it out of a job. sice i was was knee high to a grasshopper.. its been the go to guy.. now i have decided to use its bigger brother and i can imagine it doesnt like that (also not helped as i have a science background)

but with the 1st book verification showing that the system does work.. i'll probably do it a couple of more times just to shut my internal voice up a bit.. and then we will see how far this whole mind system can take us..!

I am scientist, mathematican.

Desire propels purpose.

It is use and application that counts most. Learning to trust SELF is a forever unfoldment.

When you Photoread, do your self-talk:

"This is OK to work for me."
"I AM more than equal to this way of knowing."
"I can and do know clear and well."
"What I focus on unfolds clarity and ever renewing skill."

Every step forward still requires 'emotional acceptance', every step need be bedded down as 'acceptable and true' for ones own self; in order to take hold as your truth and grow.

Even when if one slides into 'pits' they still had to 'accept it emotionally before it could take hold and be theirs personally'.

...every single step requires your sovereign authorization.

very good advice..

I sort of know that effectively "proof" reading the next book I do after I have mind mapped it, written down what I think it is telling me and any method in that book.. is just a way of confirming to my conscious mind.. that it can relax.. take a back seat and just go with the flow.

I do want to get into some tech books.. with maths formula ( hydraulics etc) and whist I want to do it now.. I don’t want to dent my confidence.

I have already read that text books should be treat as a chapter at a time as a book... and I guess the super reading and dipping on that sort of material really has to have a go at utilising it for a worked example.. no theory ever sets in my mind until I've solved a problem using it.

so I know.. walk before you can run... but.. heck.. I want to dive into about 10 Matlab books and just let the process work..!

"patience.. patience DeepSix.. or you will be in the same state as your forum name.. under water!!"
