Hi,

I finally got hubby to bite the bullet and let me rotate the angle of the front door by a whooping 30 degrees. I need to make sure the new facing is right, but the metal of the door is changing my readings:

When standing at the treshold with the door open, the reading is 90 degrees, but if I take it by closing the door and standing behind it, the reading is 75 to 80 degrees...

My questions are:
the right reading would be with the door open? or closed?
Should I take the reading with the frame attached to the new frame, or just sitting at the new treshold would work? I am afraid it may change...

I know it sounds silly, but I cannot change my mind half-way through the installation of the new frame.

Thanks,

Lucia

Hi,

Wow, that's great that he is on-board with your interest in feng shui!

Let's see, to the best of your ability, with the door open take your reading standing inside the center of the door frame, facing outside your home with the compass at heart level. Take the reading from where the frame now stands. Any metal will affect the reading so try to get the reading as free of metal as possible. You may have to take a few readings to get a sense of the magnetic directions and therefore how the energy is moving as it enters your home.

If your front door falls on a temple or empty line you may want to use a hexagram to shift the degree either 5 degree increments down or up (ex: 95 or 85, with degrees in between)

All the best!
Kat
