Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Diamond Feng Shui Front Door - Total Frustration - What to Do??

Greetings everyone. I know this question has probably been asked - but I don't have time right now to research thoroughly. Sorry.

I have the Diamond Feng Shui basic course (Level 1). I am a Male 5 Energy Number so my best directions are: SW, NW, W, and NE. Hard to find a home facing those directions.

My home's front door faces due North - the direction of total loss (for me). Not a good location. The rest of my house has been "Feng-Shui'd" the best I know how.

As you can see, my north door is partially blocked by landscaping - trees/flowers.

My questions is... what else can I do to correct this? We use the door from within the garage (facing east). Visitors come to North Door.

Once inside the door... there is a split. Can go downstairs or upstairs.

first of all I have to say that my front door faces one of my less good directions as well. I think that in that case you should at least sleep in one of your best directions (when in bed the head points into one of your four best directions).

My husband's kua number is 5, too. His total loss direction and yours are the same. The meaning of North is career, goal setting and thinking about the future (just rough summary) and my husband definitely has problems with goal setting and amitions :-). In one of her space feng shui newsletters Marie recommended to place the facet opal in the North to transform these issues.

My total loss direction is South and in my childhood I used to be very shy and timid which is no longer true for me because I worked on this issue. I believe that our less good directions offer wonderful opportunities to grow and to change our human luck. Nevertheless, my husband and I slep towards one of our best directions.

With respect to the trees I think it depends on the rest of the environment, the trees might as well serve as a protection against Sha Qi or poison arrows. If you have the feeling that the "phoenix" cannot fly out it might be possible to replace the trees by bushes etc.

If you do not like the direction your door faces then it might be an idea to draw the attention to the NW, i.e. to the beginning of path that leads to your door.

Another idea would depend on the correct reading of the facing direction, maybe it is close either to NE3 or NW1, then you could consult with one of the Feng Shui experts at Learning Strategies to change the facing direction to one of your good directions...

Hi Jay,

Astrid has some great suggestions regarding the door. Depending on what the degree of your door is, a hexagram can be used to shift it to a more favorable area for you. If you have a door in one of your less than ideal directions it becomes very important to sleep in one of your ideal directions.

Looking at your pictures, I see that the trees are directly in front of the door. Do you feel that there is intense energy directed at your home. At times Marie has been known to mention that some trees can act as Shar Qi. If you feel this is the case a bagwa mirror, convex to deflect energy away, would be a good thing to hang above the door. Trust your senses and your experience. You're the one that inhabits the home.

I too find that the less than ideal directions are not necessarily the worst thing ever. Even a diamond begins as a dull piece of coal. The less than ideal directions can be an avenue for transformation. Always remember, energy flows where attention goes; it definitely will be effective to bolster and activate the areas that are going to be most supportive for you in your life now and will help you on your way to the life you aim to create.
