Hi all

My relationship direction is Northwest. My bed is currently in the northwest part of my bedroom, although the bed itself is along a north to south line. Does the bed itself need to be slanted to be along that Northwest to southeast line or can it just be in the corner? It's just that it would be extremely difficult to slant the bed since it would take up a LOT of room to do so, and there's be a lot of "dead" unusable space if I did.

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Hi,

it is recommended that your head lies towards one of your 4 best directions (i.e. if you're standing at the end of the bed and measuring towards the headboard)- so as you said it should be along the Northwest to Southeast line, if possible. But if Northwest is one of your good directions then Northeast, Southwest and West are options as well. Just check if it's possible to place the bed in another area of your room with your head lying towards the West, for example. But I'd look first for a power position of your bed and then for the sleeping direction. If it is possible to arrange both, it's very good, indeed.

Love,
Astrid

Great conversation.

True, the important thing to do is sleep in one of your four best directions, this means that when you are lying down the crown of your head is pointing in one of your four best directions. In addition to this the other priority is to be sure you are in a position of power in relation to the door. This means that you are able to see any incoming traffic without being in the direct flow of the door.

There is definitely no such thing as perfect feng shui and we all work with what we have. Marie has also mentioned that if there are no other options for moving the bed you can experiement with angling yourself in bed so that at least the crown of your head is pointing in one of your ideal directions. Marie states that she has used this little trick when traveling and in hotels.

All the best,
Kat
