Hello everyone! I just finished level 1 of the diamond course a few days ago, and realized I'm a little stuck.

My bedroom is in the NW corner of the house. (Well, 2/3 NW, 1/3 W.) The walls are currently blue, with a white ceiling, white blinds, tan trim and floor. Wooden furniture. Now, if my bedroom is in the metal area of the house, and my Chinese astrology element is wood... this isn't a good combination. Changing bedrooms is likely out of the question. If I repaint to enhance the metal element of the house's direction, it seems like it would make the energy worse for me. But I don't know if painting it green would be the best option, either. Any help appreciated. ^_^

Hi, Foxdream,

do you also have levels 2 and 3? if so, I'd suggest you wait until you finished level 3 - and then think of repainting (because time feng shui may ask for other activations and even contradict space feng shui). If wood is your fortune color, then it is enhanced by the blue walls and the wooden furniture. I think you should arrange everything in such a way that you are supported. Your house should support you because you are the one who lives in it :-) If you want to strenghten the balance of the elements in your bedroom, then you can also think of some metal objects as accents and place them in the NW of your bedroom.

I do not know if there have been major changes in the FS course because I have an older edition but if I remember correctly, the 8 compass direction are activated in your bedroom, living room and office. In order to enhance the metal element of the Northwest you might think of activating these directions in your bedroom, living room and/or office, using the suggested activations. :-)

Love,
Astrid

Thanks for the tips, Astrid. Yes, I also have levels 2 & 3, and (while I've admittedly scanned ahead), you're probably right that I ought to wait until I've finished them before doing any decisive repainting. Alas, my bed moving will have to wait, as well, seeing as I've got a waterbed, and it's not a simple matter of shifting it in five minutes, as it would be for most people. ^_^;

I'll stick with what I can do for now -- enhancing and balancing elements with activations.

Aloha Foxdream,

There needs to be a ballance of elements in each room. The main focus or feel of the room should be it's element or enhancing element.

Until you've checked out what is in store in that sector regarding Time Feng Shui, you can add accents of your fortune element into the room with decorative pillows, or something small (think of a highlighted section of a page - just a little sparkle to remind you of a topic/thought (your fortune), but anything more than that and nothing is special).

Much Love, Shawn
