Hello. am having a hard time with the breathing, especially feeling each position. I struggle to feel and find them, causing tension and stress. also breathing into each spot, if to be taken literally, if not, I still seem to try. If someone could give a detailed run down I would be most grareful. phew that was hard just working out how to explain it. the phone is an obvious choice but being in the uk not really an option. very best to all from Gordon

Aloha Gordon,

IF chunyi's sounds are longer than your breath, give yourself permission to tkae two breathes in one location.

You are breathing and bringing energy into an area, not a point, so there isn't a need to get it perfect. Remember: Good, Better, & Best.

Some people may feel the sound in that area, others' visualization will be their dominant feedback, while others will find it easier to feel the breath going into each area. Be patient and gentle with yourself.

Much Love,

Shawn

I just want to say thanks. I took all the SFQ classes a few years ago and practiced the active exercises and small universe meditation but I got away from it and haven't done any for some time now.

I liked the small universe except that I could not breathe nearly as long as the sounds lasted so I would take an extra breath but I always felt like a loser for having to do that and felt I wasn't doing it "right" and so I eventually stopped doing the meditation.

Now, I will give myself permission to take the extra breath and start practicing again. Maybe at some point I'll be able to take longer breaths. smile

(I'm glad I came back and started reading the forums again.)
